How to Reduce Facial Hair with Natural Remedies – Tips & Tricks

Posted on April 12, 2023Updated on April 12, 2023by Shena MartinCategories:Blog

Women’s health is a subject of great importance; with many women often seeking out natural and easily available ways to reduce facial hair. While modern treatments such as waxing, electrolysis, dermaplaning and laser hair removal exist, they are often costly and time-consuming and may not be available to everyone. Natural remedies, however, can be found in abundance and are often inexpensive, considering the array of natural ingredients that are widely available and inexpensive.

Before considering any natural remedies it is important to look into the underlying cause; as hormonal changes can be responsible. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is estimated to affect between five to ten per cent of women, and this can cause excessive hair growth. If symptoms become apparent it is recommended to see a doctor in order to rule out any underlying diseases.

Warm compresses and exfoliation can open hair follicles, leading to reduced facial hair growth. To make a warm compress simply soak a cloth in hot (not too hot) water, wring it out and press against the area. For exfoliation, you can purchase an exfoliator specifically designed for the face. Alternatively, you can make your own with natural ingredients such as sea salt, honey and olive oil – wet your skin and use an exfoliating mitt to gently rub this mixture on the area.

Gentle dipping of the face in diluted tea tree oil has also been recommended for reducing facial hair. Using a therapeutic-grade tea tree oil, dilute it with water or aloe vera gel and use a facial steaming routine to soothe the area. You can also mix the tea tree oil with an all-natural oil such as lavender oil, lemon juice, and turmeric powder to make a paste, then use a facial cloth dipped in the oil to massage the area.

There are a number of vitamins and herbs which have been linked to reducing facial hair; this includes zinc, magnesium and essential B vitamins such as riboflavin, thiamine and biotin, as well as herbal extracts such as amla, chaste berry and shatavari. Vitamins and herbs can be taken as supplements or taken in their raw form – such as sprouted grains.

Turmeric and papaya are two natural remedies that are gaining in popularity for reducing facial hair in women. Both of these natural ingredients have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to promote health and beauty, and they both contain compounds that can help reduce the growth of facial hair. However, there is still much research that needs to be done to determine the effectiveness of these remedies.

Turmeric is a spice that has been used for centuries in India as a medicinal agent. It is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, such as curcumin, which can help reduce the production of facial hair. Studies have shown that turmeric may help reduce the production of androgens, a type of hormone that causes the growth of facial hair. When applied topically, turmeric can help reduce the size and thickness of hair follicles, while at the same time preventing further growth of unwanted hair.

The papaya fruit is also used as a natural remedy for reducing facial hair. It contains the enzyme papain, which has been found to be effective in disrupting the production of androgens, preventing the growth of facial hair. Studies have also suggested that papain can help moisturize the skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, and improve the skin’s overall health and appearance.

Taking the necessary steps to ensure that skin is well-moisturized can also lead to reduced facial hair. Natural moisturizers can be used to hydrate the skin, reducing hair growth; natural ingredients such as aloe vera, castor oil, apple cider vinegar and milk can be blended together to be used as a facial mask.

Although these remedies have been found to be beneficial for reducing facial hair, these remedies should be used in combination with traditional hair removal methods, such as waxing or laser hair removal, for optimal results. Additionally, it is important to note that these remedies should not be used if you have sensitivities or allergies to any of the ingredients in the products. Lastly, consult with your healthcare provider before attempting any of these remedies, as they will be able to provide advice on the best course of action for you.

In conclusion, there are many natural remedies available to reduce facial hair. Before selecting a remedy, it is important to rule out any underlying health issues; and take into account factors such as hormones, exfoliation and moisturizing the skin. A variety of vitamins and herbs can also be used in tandem
